Dmoz goes Downhill?

Pongers, you said something about Dmoz that made me think, "Wow that deserves its own thread" You said that DMOZ was not what it used to be because it was having problems! What sort of problems? Pongers inspired this line of thought but everyone feel free to jump in and tell me your thoughts.

DMOZ is one of the largest directory available online in all the diffrent categories, as there are 4.5 million sites registered and its one of the fastest growing directory where you would be surprised where the no application per day is more than 2800 and they do approve 2000 website on daily basis.
