Thanks to dan
I would like to give My most sincere thanks to DAN, who has kindly given up His time this afternoon and downloaded and installed My nice new vBulletin forum for Me, and in the process He had to convert all the data from My old YaBB forum and install that as well into the new vBulletin forum,
Thanks DAN for your time and effort, the new forum is fantastic, I am just loving it already.

Yes He did do a grand job for Me, some of the data has gone astray but I can cope with that, and some boards got out of order but I am getting them back where I want them, I presume it was the miss match of Perl code and PHP, but I am happy with the result, and Nick did the final bits for Me also a great job, I now have My preferred URL and My logo too, can't be bad fantastic guys.

Yeah unfortunately, the although the impex code is very handy, depending on the construct of the data that it's importing, it can sometimes be problematic - especially when it involves avatars or smilies with 'white space' (spaces) in the file name.
As for the forum order, that will be a vbulletin thing, as when it imports the data, the tables are given new reference id's which vbulletin uses, and so they have to be ordered/nested via the forum admin area first. One of the other things to check also, is your permissions for the forums, something that's commonly overlooked after the data's imported, it imports the groups, usually with impex in the name, but they get given the default vbulletin permissions, and so need tweaking to match what you did have.

Thanks for the info Hexo, I will need to check everything over, I am lucky at this time with not having many members, I would think that for a large forum that could be a big problem, mine now shows as having five members as before but in fact there are none there just Me, the others have gone but will soon be fixed again.

Good Good, glad to see that your getting it all sorted from the other threads.
I hope you enjoy your user experience of it, and still feel the same after a few months of using it.

I do enjoy using websites, and I had My other one YaBB for over two years, so I am sure I will enjoy the vBulettin, and I enjoy the posting here, everyone is friendly and you get lots of useful information even if not for now but another time, I have learned masses, like moving a logo I didn't know how a few days ago, mind you I do print out these things, (getting old).
