My First Month With Web Hosting UK

I've been doing websites for a number of years now, and I've had a few host's aswell, so when I talk about my experience, i'm not new to the webhosting scene, I've had dedicated servers for tha past 3 years, with companies from the UK, the USA and amsterdam.

Anyway here goes.

I placed an order on 15/12/2007 for a LINUX - SEMI-DEDICATED with whm.

Less than 12 hours later my server was setup and ready for me. - Now that is impressive, the last company took a week and the company before that took 5 days.

On 16th december I asked if support could change the hostname for me, I usually just do it myself with this command Hostname mydomain.com but it seemed different with being on the semi.

10 minutes it was done. Very impressed.

On 12 Jan @ 11.35 I submitted a ticket to have php downgraded. I usually do this myself but the semi was running easyapache and I was familiar with this version of apache, which seems more reliable than my old server with apache 1.3, by 12:18 it was done.

This is the best service I've ever had, some companies charge you for support and some make you wait 3-7 days for an answer to a ticket.

I'm liking this company.

I'll update this after 3 months hosting.

Well I've been with Webhosting UK for just over 3 months now, and just like at the start, I'm still really happy with the service. My tickets have been answered very quick indeed, and the customer service has been spot on. Downtime has been non existent that I'm aware of, and server loads are always reasonable.

Can't ask for a better service really.
