IP ban help?

Is it possible for me to ban an IP address? If so how do I do this? I've been getting some spam and I want to block them, I found out the IP of the spammer, but I'm not sure how to block it? Someone said something about an access document but I have no idea what this is? (I'm quite new to coding) anyway if someone can explain to me what I am supposed to do that would be great

You have a cPanel account.
And cPanel has a inbuilt feature to block access to unwanted IP address, so that those IP will not be able to access your site.

To block Ip address Login to cPanel >> IP Deny Manager >> add IP address in question corresponding to "IP Address or Domain". and now click on Add button.

I wonder why I didn't notice this feature! I'll keep this in mind
