I wanted to ask what complications will a end user face when he decides to move from cPanel to Plesk. Is it easy to migrate over or is it a tedious task ?
The migration of the hosting account from the Windows/Linux Plesk server to cPanel server is quite simple but following points need to be considered before the migration.
1) If there is use of absolute path in scripts on Plesk server then they need to be changed accordingly, as the directory structure of the cPanel account is different from the account under Plesk servers.
The absolute path of cpanel account is
/home/cpuser/ or /home/cpuser/public_html
While on Linux Plesk it is /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs
and on Windows Plesk it depends on how it is configured.
2) It is not possible to migrate the emails from Plesk server to cPanel server as email servers are different. In this case, emails can be downloaded to local machine with the use of Email clients like Thunderbird / Mac Mail / Live mail etc.
3) cPanel server uses Mysql and/or Postgresql database servers Only. These two types of databases can be migrated to cPanel server.
Just to add, the user interface side of things are easy to get used to but certain features and functionality in Plesk are named differently versus cPanel and sometimes in different sections compared to cPanel, but generally cPanel to Plesk is an easy migration.

Yes, definitely without any doubt migration from cPanel to Plesk is an easy process, but in my personal opinion, a seamless data migration could be done if you are migrating your data from one cPanel to another cPanel.
I had a tough time doing this. Both were on shared hosting platform. While I could move databases and restore them. I manually moved over the web files. There was no way of moving emails so I had to create each email account on the new hosting account.
