Bulk Emails

Once or Twice a month I send out an email newsletter to customers who have opted in.

I have always used a hoster other than webuk as I knew there was a sending limit on shared hosting on here.

That other hoster had never had any problem with them when I sent 8000 emails via GroupMail programme over a couple of hours - usually in the middle of the night.

Now I have had to change that other hoster, but it was OK for a couple of months. Now they have had a DDOS attack and have got mega safe and won't let anyone send more than 200 per hour. At that rate it would take days for GM to send those out.

Only found out when I tried to send other day and all emails after the first 200 bounced back. Google Mail also blocked my ip because of this and won't accept any email I send - even normal ones - to any Gmail emails - which is a bugger as my other hoster uses a Gmail address.

What options do I have?

Have sent a ticket to Support but no answer yet - they seem to be having problems with the help system. So thought would ask you clever lot on here

Generally all hosting companies will set a limit on the number of emails that can be sent from their servers. We have set a limit of 200 outgoing emails per hour on shared and reseller hosting, 500 outgoing emails per hour on VPS Hosting, 1000 outgoing emails per hour on Semi Dedicated Hosting and 3600 outgoing emails per hour on Dedicated Hosting to avoid any sort of email spamming from our servers.

Should anyone require to send more than the set limits we ask them to carve it up into smaller lots and the send the emails.
