Addon domain change to main domain

What if someone decides not to renew one of the main domains on a server and have an addon domain on this main domain to be used as main domain. Is it possible to change the main domain to one of the addons, or does everything needs to be deleted and started over again?

Yes, its possible to swap main domain with addon domain. First you must remove addon domain from your hosting account from cPanel >> Addon domains. Once addon domain remove you can change primary domain from WHM, if you have root login details. If you are having shared hosting account then please drop an E-mail from your registered E-mail address to support[@]webhosting.uk.com when ever you would like to swap the main domain with addon domain. The main domain swap process will take few minutes only.

Make sure you take a data back up of the addon domain before you remove it from the control panel.
