Talking Can the files within the temp folder of cPanel be deleted

One of my clients asked me if they could safely delete any files within the temp folder of their cpanel.....
These files are mainly stats for the stats programs (ie webalizer etc)
Can they all be removed safely??
They do tend to take up quite a bit of space but I didnt want to tell her to delete them if it would cause problems lol
After having searched I found some answers, some a bit techy for me lol, some say yes and some say proceed with caution....
Thankies!

Hi Mary,

We always advice you not to play with temp folder of your cpanel, if you still want to delete few files from it please contact our technical support staff, they will help you for getting this done.

I agree to you Harry. It is not really a very great idea to delete the files from the temp folder of your cPanel on your own. This may create some problems for you in future. It is always better to contact the technical support department if you wish to delete some files from your temp folder.

The technical department can do it for you and as they have excellent knowledge about it, you won't face any problem. Also, as it is easy to contact the technical support department department of web hosting uk, contacting them should be the best option.

tell them not to delete those files if Stats are important for them. Those files maintain records for years if your website is live for that kind of period. You can always seek help of our support staff to get rid of some unwanted data from your account.
