Default Customized CMS

I know there are many CMS and blogging platforms freely available on the net, like Joomla, Drupal and Wordpress, just to name a few. Though, I am curious if you have ever developed such a specific website, that you had to order a customized CMS from a web developer.

I don’t think that a customized CMS is necessary for creating a website. The Content Management Systems that you have mentioned Joomla, Drupal and Magento are highly efficient platforms for creating a powerful website.

I agree with Rachael. The CMS you have mentioned are highly customizable. You can customize any of the CMS to meet your specific needs. I particularly like Wordpress.

WordPress is definitely a great content management system. However I think Drupal has also gained a lot of popularity. It is widely used as an open source application and it also has a user friendly interface. It is a perfect attribute of my web hosting plan. The best thing about Drupal is that it enables the user to create custom web portals. Innumerable blogs, community websites and any other small websites can be easily published through Drupal.

I agree. Drupal system is designed in a way so that the presentation layer is based on the open standards. Therefore it is possible to find or create free templates in order to get customized layouts and attractive designs for your website through a CSS. Another advantage is that the data and logic layers of Drupal are separated from the design layer- this design offers you with complete flexibility along with offering the trademark Drupal functionality.

In my opinion the existing content management systems available like WordPress, Joomla, Magento and Drupal offer a great platform that is ready for your specific requirements. All these content management systems have online communities where you can also connect with a wide range of people working on these systems. Moreover they are also popular form of hosting as they provide with the most appropriate resources to establish a highly impressive website and maintain it productively. I think even if you get a web hosting platform designed from a web developer, it will not prove to be as favorable as these content management systems.

I agree with all said above. Hiring a web developer to build a CMS, you could end up spending a fortune and I doubt that the CMS could compete with Wordpress when it comes to its quality and features.

The best option is to opt for a content management system. The already existing content management systems are quite efficient.

The already existing content management systems are fully equipped with all the necessary features for creating an impressive website and managing the content. Selecting an appropriate content management system matters; this also depends on the type of website you have.
