I wish to start a E-commerce based website and I am pretty confused with what things I should look out for in a hosting provider before hosting my website with him. Can anyone help me out on what a user must inquire about and what all things he should know before starting hosting.

You should be very careful while choosing the hosting provider if you wish to start a E-commerce based website. The Hosting provider should provide Secured hosting services. The server on which your website is hosted much be secured enough to prevent your website from DDOS, Hacking or any other malicious activity. The hosting provider should also backup their servers frequently and should provide you with the latest backup if demanded. There should be a 24X7 Technical support offered because, as you are running a Online shop and if your website goes down for some reason, the hosting provider should immediately start working on it and should try to bring it up asap because if the website is down for more time, you might loose a good amount of money.
