Default Wordpress posts - Scheduled delete?

Hi all,

I have just started using the latest version of WordPress (3.0.3), As I like the idea that I can schedule posts (eg like so i dont need to login on bank holidays eg Christmas day), However what I'd like to know is...

Is it also possible to schedule a deletion of posts?

eg I know that I can schedule a post to appear on 3rd Jan, but can I also schedule it to automatically 'delete' itself on say the 7th Jan?

I know that this may be a plugin solution, but im not sure what exactly im looking for, Also someone may also know of an alternetive wordpress type script that has this function built in by default.

Many Thanks

Russell

Hello,

As you correctly guessed, there are few plug-ins available for the wordpress, which will delete the posts after pre-configured time.

'Auto Delete Post' is one of them. (It is just an example and not recommendation).
You can know more about it at
" wordpress.org/extend/plugins/auto-delete-posts/ "

Here are installation instructions :
" wordpress.org/extend/plugins/auto-delete-posts/installation/ "

You can download the plug in at given url.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I've had a look and it seems to be what i'm looking for, however i'm using a newer version of WordPress (3.0.3) and the plugin is only compatible up to version 2.9.2

However thank you for taking the time to reply.

Hey Russell, would you mind sharing that plugin with us on the forum? My Autoblog fetches many posts, hence, I would prefer to install it on my Autoblog
