Yes, you will not have to pay additional for the Wordpress blog. Wordpress is an open source application built using PHP and MySQL. You may consider one of the cPanel hosting or Windows hosting plan to host the wordpress blog. It just takes a minute or two to install the wordpress blog. Let me know once you order the hosting plan I will get the wordpress installed on your domain.

If you are looking forward to have a Wordpress blog or website, I would recommend you to choose a Linux cPanel hosting plan as Softaculous auto-installer is offered with cPanel hosting plan for free and you can install Wordpress as well as many other free and open source scripts through it with a few simple clicks.

Default Upgrade Wordpress

I'm having trouble using the automatic upgrade method in Wordpress. I've just installed the version my cpanel has available in Fantastico, 3.1

The current version available is 3.1.3 but I can't seem to be able to upgrade it from within the Wordpress dashboard.

I think it may need the hostname input in a specific way.

Assuming my domain name was say webby.co.uk what would the FTP hostname be?

If anyone can shed some light on this that would be fantastic

Cheers

The most annoying part is when you need to recover your password for WP admin. I found myself stuck with it for some time and eventually found a way to get my account back without deleting and installing another WordPress pack. This tutorials are cool, thanks for sharing it.

You can also use phpMyAdmin to assign new Admin & Password for your Wordpress blog in case for some reason the 'Password Recovery' option is of no use for you.
