Default Cloud Server Down

Has anyone else had issues with their server on 14/08 between 10:30 PM and 12:30 as I was told the main node was down and stuck.
The server is now back up and working but this is another downtime issue i have faced on the 100% service.
Thanks

Garry

Hi Garry,

There was a problem with one of the host servers in the cloud which needed to be rebooted, we've posted it here : Node rebooted - whuk-status.com

We'll be further checking as to what exactly caused this & will update you once done with..

Sorry for being non techy, I had a problem with my VMware which resulted in my WHN & cPanal not responding (live support had to re-boot for me), Is this related in some way (although approx a week after solarsystems issues), and also does this also apply re 100% uptime guarantee/refund?

Thanks
Russell

Hello,

Your VM has 512 MB RAM and its using the total amount of RAM allocated .There is no free RAM available incase of some spike or sudden increase of load on the server. Therefore due to high memory usage, the server was not responding and reboot was needed to lower the load and bring it back online. I would suggest you to upgrade the RAM to 1 GB to avoid such reboots in future. As the Cloud Cluster was running fine and no other VM's except yours was facing the issue which was due to high memory usage. It doesn't come under any sort of downtime as per our SLA and you won't get any compensation for it.

Hi Ross,

Thanks for your reply, i'll look into upgrading the RAM soon.

Like i said i'm not very techy so just thought i'd ask here rather than bother live support.
