I have heard a lot about of Cloud hosting. Can you point out the best part in Cloud which you think makes it different from other servers or solutions.

Apart from 100% uptime, one more feature offered in Cloud is fixed amount of CPU share allocated to your account and scalability. A user get a fixed amount of CPU share which is assigned to only his account. This feature is not offered on VPS servers. Moreover you have a option to upgrade/downgrade your server resources at any point of time without changing the hosting plan. The resources will be increased or decreased on the same server with a minimal downtime.

I also agree with Kerian, Jessie and Ross. The architecture used to setup a Cloud server makes it different from any other soultion. This architecture makes sure that the users website is always online even if any server crashes within the cluster. Guaranteed CPU share makes Cloud servers much superior than VPS. Guaranteed CPU is offered only in Dedicated servers or Cloud. So the users who are not willing to invest more amount in Hosting can opt for Cloud and get a feature which is offered only on Dedicated server.

I would provide some more information about cloud hosting features.

High Availability

This feature is very useful in case of hardware failures. Even if the hardware of one of the servers in the Cloud fails, the Cloud servers created on that node are shifted on other nodes in the same Cloud due to which there is no data loss or downtime caused to the Cloud servers.

Fault Tolerance

Due to this feature, the virtual machines shifted on other nodes due to hardware failure are restarted automatically and all the virtual machines are monitored. Also, in case of OS failures, the virtual machines are restarted automatically.

In the Cloud architecture, all the servers have VM's created on them, however, all servers have enough resources to accommodate more VM's. Hence, if one of the servers goes down due to some reason, all the VM's on that server are migrated on other VM's due to which Cloud Servers offer 100% uptime guarantee.
