There was problem with CourierImap service on server due to which pop authentication was failing. The authdaemond process hanged up and got corrupted hence it took a long time to get this problem sorted.
We have dissabled the courierimap service on server & email service is working fine on the server.
I would like to reassure you that you wont face any such downtime in future. If we fail to meet 99.9% uptime in any particular month then we will provide you with free hosting for that particular month. but in
cpanel account hosting you may face downtime for couple of minutes but it wont extend beyond that.
PHP has been upgraded on the server to version 5.0.4 and the security and performance of php websites has increased due to this upgrade.
